The ‘Mother in Law’s Tongue’ is one of the hardiest of all indoor plants and will do well in almost any bright position. I’m a tough guy so can handle a little bit of neglect, but will thrive with some lovin’.
Allow the soil to completely dry before watering and water deeply until water drips through the drainage hole. Water sparingly in winter and never allow the soil to become soggy.
Feed the plants once every 3 weeks throughout the summer using a general-purpose fertiliser.
Place in moderately bright or filtered light. Intense light may cause the edges to turn yellow.
Re-pot using a well drained potting mix that doesn’t hold a lot of water. You’ll know it’s time to re-pot when roots start creeping through the drainage hole.
